Services
Specializing in environmental horticulture- creating and maintaining environments that function practically, aesthetically and in harmony with nature and climate, we currently focus services in residential spaces. We offer designs in-person for projects within 30 or so miles of Davis, CA and Virtual garden consultations are available throughout CA. Additional services are (1) year- round rose care and (2) private garden sessions for hands-on learning or expert assistance.
Full Garden Design Plan
Ideal for those who are starting from scratch and prefer a visual plan. This includes developing a conceptual planting plan. Using extensive plant knowledge, we create designs per client.
Available for one-time, annual. quarterly, monthly, or bi-weekly garden management. We use cultural practices and mechanical (by hand, hand tools, battery powered) practices, follow the garden calendar and utilize environmental approaches for maintenance decisions on plant health, soil care, and irrigation oversight. We will take on tasks specifically requested by client as long as it is seasonally appropriate.
Garden Management
Plant and Materials Palette Creation
Ideal for clients who need seasonal designs, or plant palette placement for a project. Client requests are always considered, such as color preferences or garden styles. Layout by our expert designer available.
Garden Design Consultation
Garden design consult are best to brainstorm ideas, aesthetics, solutions and point you in the right direction. We will provide you with reading material and advice for your specific project and can be available throughout your DIY project.
Garden Consultation
A great option for DIYers, novel gardeners or homeowners seeking advanced knowledge. This is available virutally or on-site. Often we discuss how to properly care for one or several aspects of the garden including planting, properly prune, schedule your irrigation programer, irrigation design, and educate on the plant-soil-water relationship and compare it to your garden system.
Whether a consultation is needed for selecting the right CA native plants to thrive in your garden environments, or you have questions on the existing garden, or need help planning your future sustainable CA native plant garden, we are able to apply local knowledge and experience obtained from education at CA Native Plant Society and UC Davis. We also incorporate desert plants into this style.
